  As purely a financial institution Alpine Credit Union is very very good. They offer A LOT of services either for free, or at extremely competitive prices. That being said, a lot of the focus of their staff is sales. I felt it a lot when I was building a portfolio with them. Although never mean, the staff are generally cold, and seem to have much more interest in your accounts than you. It also seemed like everyone I talked to there had somewhat of a higher view of themselves than me as a customer. For a small credit union, it's just not what I expected. All in all, they got everything done that I asked of them in a very timely manner, and I haven't had any issues with the services they provide. If that's all you need in a financial institution, Alpine Credit Union can more than provide.

  Came here first for a small auto loan as a first time car buyer and student. I did not have a lot of credit built up but was hoping to get a small amount to help with buying a car. I was handed off to several different people who were all very disrespectful and mocking. The last lady laughed when she saw my new credit and told me smugly that I didn't qualify for any loan. Needless to say, I immediately left and took my business elsewhere.

  If you get direct deposit expect your check not to end up in your account until 9:30 AM on your payday. All the banks around them you can get your paycheck right at midnight, but here they pay one lady to come in and turn on the computer and to transfer one file to another file for the WHOLE county and then you receive your paycheck! I showed up there at 9AM when they open, my paycheck was not there I had to wait until 930 and sometimes 10 AM to receive my paycheck through direct deposit. I called the corporate office which and they said there is nothing they can do about it they won't even update their system! When I went through the contract of doing direct deposit it said nothing about me waiting for my paycheck until 9:30 AM or 10am. Please avoid this place
